A short example of how to modify an UpdatePanel to dim and display a spinning progress indicator, using CSS styles. Also demonstrates how to disable the submit button only during the async postback and also changes the mouse pointer to an hourglass during the postback.

encosia.com contains the best information! Having searched for 2 days, using the info provided on encosia.com I was able to put together 3 of their articles to completely solve my complex problem.
