Of course, Software engineering is defined as: Software engineering is the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software, and the study of these approaches. This term was created in 1968 in the hope of bringing a more “civilized” way of coding. What is interesting however, is that most of the time, people and companies won’t make a difference between the developer and the engineer.
