Having Codebehind files for Views in ASP.NET MVC tempts developers to use web forms style programming in MVC applications. Removing them from the default application templates and new File->ASP.NET MVC View templates will help developers fall into a "pit of success" by eliminating the temptation to put code into codebehind files that should really go into Controllers.
