This is a really handy little function for rendering a control to a string. Really handy if you want to pass back rendered HTML from a StaticPageMethod or WebService.

You can even customize the image by choosing your own colors, and then clicking the button below to update the preview and the html code:

  • "Kick It" text
  • "Kick It" background
  • kick count text
  • kick count background
  • border

Simply copy and paste this HTML into your blog post.

This technique is also useful when you want a "templated" email -- load the control, popuplate what you need, render it using this technique and use the output as the mail body.
