Use a base class for all your SubSonic controllers and have automatically SQL paging, SQL sorting and filtering of your data through a search criteria. All this decoupled from your aspx or your controls in a nice controller class.

Blech. Using the database for sorting and paging sucks. It works for small sites with little data, but once you have a larger data set, it quickly falls apart.
