Windows Azure goes live in January(blogs.msdn.com)

At Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference in November it was announced that the Windows Azure Platform will go live in January but it will be free for subscribers until February. This article by Kathleen Richards for Visual Studio Magazine gives a good overview of the offering, where it stands now and a peek ahead into it’s future.
