.Net Frameworks - how many distros are there?(vistadb.net)

We got an email request from a potential user asking if VistaDB could run on Windows Server Core. I basically responded that if you can install .Net 2 then we should work. Well, that is where it gets interesting. A quick search through MSDN shows that you cannot install .Net 2 on Server Core. But then I found that you can get a customized hyrid ripped apart version of .Net 2 - somtimes...
