C# Automatic Properties: Semantic changes to help cope with poor synta(aabs.wordpress.com)

Proposed changes to the C# language seem set to break backward compatibility, and confuse developers. Was it all to patch holes in the original language design, or just to save a few extra keystrokes? Refactoring tools can save us from the misery of those extra keystrokes, so why bother with this change to the language?
