Review of SubSonic 3 from a SubSonic 2.x user perspective(jamesewelch.com)

A quick review of SubSonic 3.0.0.3 from the perspective of a developer who's implemented SubSonic 2.x on numerous projects. An overview of initial likes and dislikes and a little bit of code snippets to bring back 2.x functions missing from 3.0.

I think SubSonic v3 is excellent stuff, author's problem is he doesn't like LINQ (actually says he avoids it) and C# isn't his native language. If you dig LINQ and understand something about T4 files then you love SubSonic v3. I use it and after a small (like 1hour) spent on the subsonic site reviewing new docs and watching the screencasts I had no problems moving into it (from SubSonic v2). Check out some of the comments on that page, although Connery acts like a four year old most are spot on.

I agree with Tallen, subsonic 3 is definitely a grower compared to V2 still if you like LINQ and use it..... there are still a bunch of LINQ phobes out there despite the coolaid! then V3 rocks.
