Why is it so hard to find a proper developer position?(developerant.blogspot.com)

Hi, I was recently made redundant due to company restructure and it’s getting to the year-end, which means it is very hard to find a job. I am mainly a C# developer, I’ve done all sort of web based developments and I was not happy with neither of the companies I’ve worked for. It may because all theses companies were mostly media/digital agencies and they do not care about backend and proper software development approach/management so it was very unpleasant working as a backend developer for these companies.
