I'm a big fan of micro-ORMs myself. WinForms and VB.NET may both be a bit antiquated to some, but it's good to know these mini-frameworks are usable everywhere!

I really dig micro-orms as well, my main beef is that so many of them lack proper foreign key support! I end up writing a ton of logic just to handle relationships...seems to defeat the purpose ;-)
Regardless, each micro-orm I've seen has been very impressive in how succinctly they allow you to work with data.

Dapper does a pretty good job of foreign key support, I believe. :-)

Yeah, do all by all means! And please let me know what your judgement is. Not sure how it comes to Dapper to be fair, but I've heard good things about both...

I agree completely, and I love how he even says something like "let's not get adventurous" in reference to changing the language. Awesome way to diffuse a potential situation.
