Why are people still using encrypted stored procedures? I can't speak for SQL Server 2008 and later, but I know in earlier versions it was actually pretty easy to unencrypt them. As a result they really don't do much for security of your stored procedure and just make maintenance and troubleshooting that much more difficult.
