The jQuery team announce the release of jQuery 1.7, the latest major version of this JavaScript framework. By now, the library will be available on the Microsoft and Google Content Delivery Networks, and you can also download it directly from the site. The new release brings a new event API, improved performance, better HTML 5 support in older Internet Explorer Version, and mich more. (Courtesy of The Morning Brew)

I'll be happy about the improved performance, but I'm not looking forward to the number of plugins we use which seem to break at each major version...
