iisnode makes it easy to run Node.js on Windows, and since it's an HTTP Handler you can integrate it directly into an ASP.NET application. Neat, huh?

Maybe someone to clarify *why* anyone would want to add node.js into a ASP.NET MVC app/website in the first place? I'm not a big fan of node.js in the first place, to say the least, but I am curious about this in particular.

A very exhaustive walkthrough, I'm glad that Node has expanded to more native support on Windows. It's nice to have the option when it comes to what platform the server is running on, especially because in some cases the developer has no choice ;-).

What's nice about SignalR is that you don't have to switch languages and platforms to use it, I think they can coexist for sure.
