Hi there, Last week we had a very interesting Sitecore session at my company, I saw some amazing things from a collegue of mine which you can do with Sheer UI.I don't know if there is a lot of work in that particulair area, but once customers see it in action, I think it is a must have when having a Sitecore CMS and benefiting from the richness of Sitecore, instead of just the normal things you do with Sitecore. Here are a few quick verbs which might help you where to look when starting Sheer UI development: * Sitecore.Client.dll ( check this dll with Reflector, which really opens up your perspective of Sheer UI development) * Sitecore.Web.UI.Sheer.HandleMessageAttribute (which you can apply when added new commands to the command.config) * sitecore\shell directory for xml files (the XAML markup, which you can use to have examples when building your own Sheer UI applications) We also talked about wrapping the Sitecore.Context.Item object, so we get a typesafe representation of an object, which can be handy in databound situations. Then we talked about how handy dataproviders are, for integrating external data and present them within Sitecore as an ordinary item. A lot of times al kinds of tools are built so update, delete, insert data into an external database, which could also be done and integrated in Sitecore. Overall, we had a session of 5 hours + Tongue out, so we had a lot to talk about and certainly had something to say. I think we explore some areas of Sitecore which I think a lot of companies don't explore at all. Things like Sheer UI and dataproviders can seriously add some customer value! Hope this is usefull! gr, Robbert
