So, there are more MCPs globally than people living in the Metro Milwaukee, WI area (1,706,077). At least according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milwaukee,_Wisconsin

I am 1 of the 72,263 people with the Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) certification.
I am also 1 of the 46,157 people with the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) with Visual Studio 6.0 certification.
And lastly, I am 1 of 2,127,227 prople with the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.

ok here's some math:
Exam Cost ($125) X MCP's (2,127,227) = $265,903,375
And that's only how much it cost everyone to take and pass one exam. Not to mention how many time people had to retake, or how many exams needed to achieve the higher level certs.
