Reference to Ken Perlin who made incredible textures using noise(atalasoft.com)

Steve gives us some links to slides by Ken Perlin, who used to work on graphics for TRON, among others, and used controlled algorithms of noise generation to create low-bandwidth textures. Steve Hawley also provides some links for people to snag some source code and a sample application written in C that uses Ken Perlin's techniques.
