Fra tid til anden hører man forskellige historier om hvordan Microsoft Dynamics CRM kom til verdenen. Jeg har undersøgt "sagen", og her er historien: En historie som bringer os tilbage til 1993 hvor ordet Dynamics opstår. Det er dog først i 1998 at de første grundsten blev lagt til det der senere bliver til et CRM-system...dog ikke af Microsoft, men af firmaet Great Plains Inc. og Siebel Systems. I dette historiske tilbageblik vil jeg fokusere på hændelser, der har haft betydning for udviklingen af Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Forskellige produkter og teknologier, såsom .NET, har haft direkte eller indirekte indflydelse på udviklingen af Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
