Twitter Score Bookmarklet
Inspired by Twitter Hovercards, this bookmarklet was made to help me quickly view the data of Twitter accounts plus their Topsy influence score before I decide to follow them.

Demo/Setup

  1. Drag this bookmarklet to your browser toolbar to get started
  2. Highlight a Twitter username on the page like these: TechCrunch , smashingmag
  3. Click the bookmarklet..
* For Internet Explorer 7+: right-click the bookmarklet above and select "Add to Favorites".
* For Google Chrome: If your Bookmarks Bar isn’t enabled, press "Ctrl-Shift-B" to turn it on. Then drag the bookmarklet above into the Bookmarks Bar.

Powered By

Bookmarklet uses Twitter API to displays account data like website, bio, number of Tweets/Followers. Also, uses Topsy API to return the Influence score of Twitter accounts which is described on "Influence: The Social Web Currency".

This is another time Topsy API proved to be very handy. Check other stuff I made based on Topsy like "Twitter rank of websites".

Bookmarklet was tested in major browsers like Firefox 2.5, Google Chrome 8, IE 7, Safari 4, Opera 10.

What about you?

Was this bookmarklet helpful to you too? or you think it needs some improvements?

In Chrome I suggest using this bookmarklet with "Editable bookmark button", if like me you don't like having the bookmark bar open.
It is pretty easy to set up and serves for other bookmarklet as well !
