Just found this video which shows the copy and paste functionality implemented in the Windows Phone 7 developer devices. How it works? As shown in the video the user will be able to select the word by tapping on it and then by expanding or contracting the selection. Then by tapping on the copy icon on top of the selection will allow the user to copy the selection.
