What I find interesting is companies like Telerik and DevExpress, in my opinion, had already been offering design elements much like what we will see in Metro a few years ago. Granted much of the new changes in the UI will be incorporated from existing phone and tab functionalitybut the basic appearance and some of the design was already being implemented by third party utilities. I find interesting Windows is moving in this direction. I wonder how much of it has been influenced by companies such as Telerik and if Windows were to start adding controls to VS similar to what we use to have to pay for, it could really offer a boost in programs in the future.
