Compiled web frameworks like ASP.NET and Java have a performance advantage when compared to interpreted web frameworks based on Ruby, Python. These days, Java and ASP.NET eases the life of programmer as much as an interpreted language like Ruby. But, is this enough for web development to move towards Java or ASP.NET?

This is an interesting analysis of the different web frameworks out there currently. For .NET devs, it's probably good news that servlets won't be coming back any time soon.

I didn't know the Guardian contained such technical articles, funnily enough!
