Flickr Gallery for BlogEngine.NET 1.4 Released!

My apologies for the delay, but I have (finally) put together the release of my Flickr Gallery for BlogEngine.NET, or any other website for that matter. BlogEngine.NET users should understand this is not a typical "extension" where you drop a .cs file into the App_Code directory. It is a stand-alone section that can be dropped into your BlogEngine.NET instance. You can see an example implementation live on my blog at http://DannyDouglass.com/Photos/.

Flickr Gallery for BlogEngine.NET!

I have finally followed through with the promise to offer a Flickr-integrated photo gallery that can be easily installed with BlogEngine.NET. If you have spent any time following my blog you know that I have dabbled with a variety of other media extensions (see SlideShow Extension). My previous attempt at a photo gallery required far too much manual work to be usable (hence why it never was updated after the initial release). That is no longer an issue since all you need to do is copy a few files, set a few configuration values, and presto - instant Flickr Gallery on your website/blog!

LINQ.Flickr 1.2

Last week, I have released LINQ.Flickr 1.2 , this new release comes with some bugs fixes requested by community. The best of them was not to be able to search only by user and with specific photo size. The bug started after converting it to use LinqExtender instead of its own query logic. So, now here it is...

Using the Flickr.net Api on a medium trust server

I noticed a lot of people are having trouble running the Flickr.net Api from Codeplex on a medium trust host.
New LINQ provider for Flickr

LINQ provider for Flickr gives an easy way to query , add and delete Flickr photos. Here, I will give some sneak preview about how to use the provider to do different operations on Flickr, as if doing queries with SQL objects....

Programming Silverlight 1.0 with C# - Photo Carousel

Building a reusable, data-bound templated carousel control, modeled very similar to the Repeater control from ASP.NET. Once the carousel control is built, I'll bind it to a list of... yes, you guessed it... photos returned from calling the Flickr API. Using Visual Studio 2005, with Script# v0.4.2.0, Silverlight.

LINQ To Flickr

I had some free time at last, so I implemented a LINQ extension to Flickr, so you can query for photos by tags, creation date, user id or title, the implementation was really easy because I didn't have to use the Flickr API's directly as I found a good open source library for this called FlickrNet which I used as my infrastructure.
So this is a sample of a query
