SEO for Ajax and Silverlight Applications

This post contains a writeup of an Ajax pattern I demonstrated at one of my MIX07 talks around improving the indexability of Ajax and Silverlight, and in general RIA applications as part of an SEO effort...

Family.Show: Cool Open Source WPF Reference Application

?If you want to learn a new technology, there's no better way to go about it than to pore over the source of a real application. Nine months ago we commissioned Vertigo Software to create a reference sample for WPF and Windows Vista, and at MIX we unveiled Family.Show to the world. This application is beautiful both as source code and as running software - and it's free to download. Dr Sneath sat down with Scott Stanfield, Alan Le and Paul Osburn to find out more about how they built the application and the lessons they learnt in creating it. Check out the MIX session too!

Anders Hejlsberg at Mix

Anders came back from Mix reporting that attendees were excited about Silverlight, the light-weight, cross platform CLR that can be delivered in a browser. He gave a talk at the converence. You can see the video....

A Dynamic Language Runtime (DLR)

Today, at MIX 07, we announced a new level of support for dynamic languages on .NET that we're calling the DLR. The DLR is about giving you the best experience for your language - true to the language, excellent tools, performance and seamless integration with a wealth of libraries and platforms. The essential benefits of the DLR are about sharing. It lets language implementers share standard features rather than rebuilding them from scratch.
