Limited number of subsites automatically added to Quick Launch (patrikluca.blogspot.com)

You can check the box Show subsites in the Subsites and Pages section of the Site Navigation Settings for a site. By doing so, each added subsite beneath that site will be added automatically to the Quick Launch navigation element. However, this is limited to 50 subsites. Once you are adding the 51th subsite, it will not be added anymore automatically to the Quick Launch. This can be pretty confusing for your end-users. Especially if you are having fly-out menus in the Global Navigation element on top op the page (there the 51th or above subsite won't appear either). read more...

A missing feature in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is the possibility to display all the alerts you have set up. After a while, an end-user has subscribed himself to multiple lists, document libraries and items. The end-user forgets which alerts he has set up so far, resulting in setting up twice the same alert etc. An end-user likes also to have an overview on which he can easily modify or delete alerts. If multiple users are using the same client PC, you can run into following issue: when a new user logs in using the Sign in as Different User function, the user receives the error Access Denied. This error is thrown because the user is redirected by the Sign in as Different User function to the page which was last opened by the previous user and the new user doesn't has rights on this page.
