RhinoCommons, NHibernate and ASP.NET MVC Part 2 - Configuration

I'm trying to keep these coming pretty fast -- It's almost a mean trick to show everyone how to how to build and configure the application with out getting into the actual code :)

ActiveRecorditize your NHibernate Classes

It really depends on the type of application -- if you are going for more of a data driven approach then SubSonic is perfect (and yea, I agree that the code generation is pretty nice :)) If you're going for domain driven then NHibernate -- both are great tools. There are a lot of other options too but those 2 are my favorite for the given scenarios.

Using Linq for NHibernate in an ASP.NET MVC application

Really easily add filter's to Linq queries. The Generic Query helper class in this post may be helpful even if you're not using NHibernate or IRepository.

Yea probably -- I'm glad that made that change when they were initially saying it was never intended to support png files and the fact that it did was purely a bug.

Yea, it ends up making Microsoft sound bad and heartless but it is basically Silverlight helped NetFlix improve efficiency. I feel bad for the people that lost their jobs.

If a story makes it to the front page and receives less than 3 kicks in the next 24 hours since being published it should be moved back to upcoming in the order it was initially listed in.

Lhotka’s Post is Pointless – Please Get Rid of VB Microsoft!

I'm a C# programmer mainly -- Although I would choose C# over VB that doesn't mean that it should go away. It's personal preference. What do you feel about IronRuby, IronPython, F# etc. Should those also go away because C# is the one true language?

Hehe, you're pretty persistent with that comment posting it both on the site and DNK. Just in case you were wondering, I'm not a doctor. The term is 100% fictitious. Hope that clears everything up. :)
