Silverlight Gets 1.5 Million Downloads Per Day

Yes but how much of it is from people who want it. I think it will achieve critical mass when it is downloaded by 1.5 million people per day who really want to use it.

I dunno. This blog post just doesn't seem to have any substance to it.

NHIbernate 2.0 Goes Beta 1 after Microsoft ‘Linq to Entities’ receives

What's with all the capital letters? I really don't understand this post or the significance of it. Why all the shouting? Is somebody desperate here?
Ok I read the background. But seriously if you want anybody to take NHibernate seriously then don't be some desperate to release things and announce in big capital letters. I'm a big fan of NHibernate but unfortunately I can't get it integrated here into my company because I get the following criticism from my co-workers: 1) NHibernate's query language is too complex and we don't have the time to learn it. 2) The documentation is pitiful at best. 3) We have too tightly integrated business logic in POCO's and rewriting it in NHibernate will cost too much time and our client doesn't understand why he has to pay for the rewrite. 4) It's not "Microsoft Standard" (I hate that excuse) and we don't use "Open Sauce" Getting desperate and CAPTALIZING stuff will definitely not get sceptics on board. Just my 2 cents. M

IronPython 2.0 Has Been Released
posted by mghaoui(340) 3 years, 5 months ago 0
I thought IronPython was developed in conjunction with the DLR. Silverlight uses the DLR. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That's what I was thinking when I posted it. Basically I went past all the options and could only find "Silverlight" to be an option that gets close. Yeah we need a "DLR", "IronPython" and an "Open Source" option.
Hey cool I didn't know but I could remove the Silverlight tag. So I did because I think it only confuses people. I don't know if the removal can be seen by everybody or just myself.
IronRuby MVC progress

I think that this is a great initiative. I've been calling for a Python/Ruby .NET implementation of an MVC framework for quite some time now. Here's a post I made almost 2 years ago: http://forum.castleproject.org/viewtopic.php?t=2334

What is it? What does it do? Neither the blog post nor the codeplex page explain what it does. I hate those types of headlines in which the poster assumes you know what it's all about. Can anybody give me an explanation plz?
MVC Storefront is now Kona : Screencast
I am surprised to see that the MVC storefront uses Linq to Sql. I really thought that the model was built on SubSonic, seeing as Rob is the principle developer for it. Why is Microsoft still putting out MVC samples based on Linq to Sql? Wasn't the project killed off?
Ah. Ok. Looks useful.
