Installing Visual Studio 2008 on Vista makes me want to kill myself(tryingthisagain.com)

After numerous attempts at installing VS 2008 on Vista machines, I’m about ready to switch to vim. At least I can use apt-get for vim.

You need to thoroughly uninstall all of the VS2008 beta and .NET 3.5 stuff off your system before attempting to install 2008 RTM. Was smooth sailing for me, after doing that (on Vista).
