13. Multitargeting
I thought this would be wicked for my 2.0 project, until I tried it and found out it upgrades the solution file, making it incompatible with VS2005. It makes sense from a support standpoint to be able to open old VS2005 projects in VS2008 years from now, but it's not terribly useful just yet that you can't have a mixed team working on the same project. Dang!

11. Great Data Support
In particular the passage "drag-and-drop data-binding for Windows Forms" with LINQ. The first time I saw this in an ASP.NET web cast, I nearly peed myself I was so excited. Knowing that this is possible with winforms is even better (for me). Manually wiring databinding myself for the first time was a pain, so this should really help noobs.

1. It's FREE, you can use it for commercial use!
This looked new to me, but I just read the FAQ for 2005 express editions, and it was exactly the same. There continue to be no licensing restrictions for commercial use, which is pretty cool.

I was bummed to see the .sln was upgraded too, but one option is to use 2 .sln files, one for 2005 and another for 2008.

The fact that Microsoft is releasing free versions of their development tools is FANTASTIC. It will really help expand the platform's reach to a lot of new developers I hope.

In addition, I love the JavaScript debugging; if only it worked for FBJS :(
