Exploring HEAD method behavior in ASP.NET Core

In last couple weeks I've been playing with ASP.NET Core MVC powered Web API. One of things I wanted to dig deeper into is support for HEAD method. The specification says that "The HEAD method is identical to GET except that the server MUST NOT return a message-body in the response.
