Passion Not Required: It's OK to Only Program for a Paycheck

I saw a tweet this week that nicely summarizes a set of feelings that I've been having for a while. There is a vocal subset of the software development world (as there is, I imagine, in every profession) that seems to believe that passion is a required attribute for a good programmer.
