Some thoughts on naming tests

What is the purpose of a test name? Years ago I was participating in a coding event where we did katas. My pairing partner and I was doing silent ping pong. Ping-pong style pair programming is when one programmer writes a test and passes the keyboard to the partner, who writes enough code to pass the test.
